Marjory Sayers
Marjory E. Sayers, 90, of Severna Park, died of natural causes Aug. 20 at home after a lengthy illness.
Born April 26, 1915, in Montreal, where she was reared, Mrs. Sayers was also a past resident of Queens, N.Y. for 33 years, Hagerstown, Md. for seven years and Rhode Island for 10 years.
Mrs. Sayers was a homemaker and at one time worked as a bank teller in New York.
An active member and volunteer at St. Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park, she served as lector and Eucharistic minister.
Her interests included reading and walking.
She was the widow of John Frederick Sayers and mother of the late Mary Nicole Corbin.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Theresa Sayers Marozza of Severna Park; one brother, James Elvins of Brandon, Vt.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 668 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
