IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marjorie Jeanne
Brennan
January 28, 1923 – March 1, 2025
Marjorie Jeanne Brennan (née Corcoran), 102, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, in Annapolis, Maryland. Born on January 28, 1923, in Springfield, Ohio, she lived a long and fulfilling life marked by devotion to her family, faith, and education.
Marjorie pursued higher education at Mount St. Joseph College in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she cultivated a passion for learning that defined much of her life's work. She taught both high school and grade school students, imparting knowledge with patience and care. Her influence extended beyond the classroom as she nurtured young minds with wisdom and encouragement.
A woman of deep faith, Marjorie was the fourth generation of Irish American Catholic immigrants. Her spirituality was a guiding force in her life, shaping her interactions with those around her through compassion, understanding, empathy, forgiving, courage and unwavering commitment to family.
Marjorie was a devoted wife to her late husband, Jack Brennan, a Ford Motor Co executive whose career carried them and their children in 1956 to thirteen years abroad in service in Holland, Austria and Switzerland.
She was a cherished mother to Ann McGeady (Xavier), Rory Brennan (Teri), Kevin Brennan (Mary), Nicole Frazier (John), Maureen Lind (Vern) and Jerry Brennan (Helen). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Kevin (Sabrina), Bridget, Maggie, Chris (Chelsea), Sean (Andrea), Megan, John (Nicole), Frances (Luke), Rory, and Christopher—as well as her great-grandchildren Eli, Cullen, Sam, Liadin, Joey, Leo, Teddy, Amelia and Alyssa. She is also survived by her sister Rita Foos. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Ann Corcoran and sisters Mary and Ann.
Beyond family and faith, Marjorie embraced life with enthusiasm. She was an avid walker who found joy in movement. A lover of literature and mystery novels, she spent countless hours immersed in stories that sparked curiosity and imagination and passed that passion on to her children. She also had a deep appreciation for film noir's artistry and storytelling. One of her great joys was traveling to Ireland—a place that connected her to her heritage and brought immense happiness.
