Marion Fry

Marion Marsden Fry, 96, of Arnold, died of natural causes Nov. 28 at FutureCare Chesapeake after a brief illness.

Mrs. Fry was born July 2, 1911, in Fullerton, Calif., where she was reared. She was a part-time resident of Mendocino, Calif., for 37 years and a resident of St. Paul, Minn., for 53 years.

She earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of California at Berkeley.

An award-winning landscape artist and author, she was a former member of the Garden Club of America. Her interests included gardening and driving coast to coast.

She was the widow of Robert L. Fry; and mother of the late Ellen M. Fry. Surviving are one daughter, Jane Fry Gardner of Arnold; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial is private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com.
