Marie Theresa Kratz, 102, a resident of Catonsville, died on January 2, 2014 at Renaissance Gardens at Charlestown.
She was born on January 3, 1911 in Baltimore, was raised in South Baltimore, and attended Holy Cross Elementary School and Seton High School. She previously lived in Linthicum, MD.
Marie was a beautician, until her retirement, and she enjoyed bowling, sewing and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman J. Kratz.
She is survived by one nephew, Charles Gardner Truffer of St. Michael's; two nieces, Elynor M. Truffer of St. Michael's and Claire English of Roanoke, VA; two grand nephews, Thomas C. Truffer of Severna Park and Steven P. Truffer of Holly Springs, NC; and three grand nieces, Kathy I. Truffer of Severna Park, Laurie Truffer of Holly Springs, NC, and Alison Gardner of Columbia, MD.
Friends may attend a visitation at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Chapel from 9:30 am-10:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow January 11, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Chapel, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, Maryland 21228. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Baltimore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Chapel, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228.
