Marie Louise Jett of Gambrills, MD passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. Marie was raised in Hyattsville, MD by her parents Earl B. Wright and Dorothy Mountain Wright, later moving to Gambrills with her late husband Darrell L. Jett Sr. with whom she was married to for 45 years.

Marie enjoyed working in the garden, baking, watching tv, spending time with her dog and family, and winning every game of Monopoly.  When her kids were in school, Marie worked as a substitute teacher at the elementary school and actively supported the kids Brownies and Boy Scouts troops, cheerleading, and sports teams.

After raising her children, Marie worked for numerous years with Anne Arundel County Public Schools as a computer technician before retiring. Marie supported her community through volunteer work in education and recreation, as well as, donations to local organizations.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Cavin (Brian), daughter, Kim Jett, and son, Chip Jett (Kate), as well as, her grandchildren, Kara Grosbach (Mark Rainey), Chloe Cavin, Lilia Jett, and Ailsa Jett.

In true Marie fashion, she has requested no services in her honor.
