Marie Dalisera passed away peacefully in Charlottesville, VA on Saturday August 29, 2020. Marie is survived by her husband of 61 years, US Air Force veteran Nicholas Dalisera, her son and daughter in-law Mark and Noreen Dalisera; late daughter Maria Bischoff and son in-law Drew Bischoff and her sister Angela DiMaria of Yonkers, NY. Marie's grandchildren which she adored include Nicholas Bischoff, Erika Dalisera, Ashley and Jared Hachmeister, Taylor Dalisera, Michael Dalisera and great grandson, Andrew Bischoff.

Marie was born in New York City on September 8, 1933 to John and Marie Salatto. She was raised in a large loving family with six sisters and a brother where "family" always came first. She married Nick - the love of her life in 1959, and for the next 20 years called home wherever the US Air Force stationed him. Once Nick retired from the Air Force, they called Crofton, MD home for 10 years, before settling down for the next 34 years in Crozet, VA, a small town outside Charlottesville at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Family was hugely important to Marie and loved spending time with family and friends as much as possible especially her grandchildren. She loved traveling, particularly taking cruises throughout the Caribbean, Alaska, Nova Scotia and through the Panama Canal – 4 cruises a year were very common for them. Marie made friends with everyone she met; her vibrant and entertaining personality could light up a room and spread joy everywhere she went. We will miss her very much!

Friends may visit on Saturday September 5, 2020 from 9:00am-10:45am at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care,P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated on Saturday September 5, 2020 at 11:30am at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church 1070 Cecil Ave. Millersville, MD 21108. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
