Margaret Mary Schwartze, "Midge" to her beloved family and friends, passed away Monday September 21, 2009, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md. after a long illness. She was 65 years old.

Midge was born on November 10, 1943 in Yonkers, New York to the (late) John and Elizabeth Schwartze. She was raised in Severna Park and spent much of her adult life on the Eastern Shore and later in Florida and she graduated from Severna Park High School in 1961. Midge returned home to Severna Park in her final years.

Midge worked for the State of Maryland (M.A.I.F.), for over thirty years before retiring and moving to Florida to help care for her father, John. She enjoyed spending time with us all at the beach, in the Outer Banks of N.C. She had a love of all animals, closest to her was her miniature, Shih Tzu, Teacup. She also enjoyed boating and reading.

She is survived by her devoted son, Gary W. Wilmer Jr., of Severna Park, Md., his wife, Stephanie, and grand-daughters, Madeline and Hailey; beloved sister to Carol G. Phillips and brother-in-law Charles Phillips of The Villages, Fl., dear sister of John W. Schwartze III and sister-in-law, Diana Schwartze of Francisco, IN. In addition, she leaves behind many loving and devoted nieces, nephews, great-nieces', great-nephews, her extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. Services will follow at 730pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in her name to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
