Margaret Wilkens Saffran
Margaret passed away peacefully on January 23rd at Sunrise of Severna Park at the age of 95. She was married to the late Louis W. Saffran and was the loving mother of three children: the late Louis W. Saffran, Jr., daughter Jean Saffran Dinkel of San Diego, California and Richard W. Saffran of Pasadena. She was also blessed with three grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Another remarkable feature of Margaret's life was the special bond and relationship with her younger sister, Bernice Wilkens Wall that stretched unbroken from childhood.
After raising her family, Margaret continued to devote the rest of her life to the support of causes benefitting the developmentally disabled and the special needs of her son Richard. She had strong ties to Opportunity Builders, Inc. and Bello Machre; it was her wish that either or both organizations be provided support in lieu of flowers commemorating her passing.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday January 27, 2015 at 10:00am in the St. John Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.
