Margaret Helbling McFarland, 91, of Catonsville, MD passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018. She was born on April 17, 1926. She grew up in the town of Aspinwall in Pittsburgh, PA, and continued to live in Pittsburgh in the O'Hara Township until moving in 2006 to the Charlestown retirement community in Catonsville, MD. She attended Carlow College in Pittsburgh, PA and received her degree in home economics. She enjoyed being part of her garden club.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Millhausen of Arnold, MD, and Susan (Charles) Skipper of Denton, MD; her granddaughter Megan Millhausen of Arnold, MD; and her grandson James Millhausen (Christine) of Massenda, NY. Margaret is predeceased by her husband, James West McFarland, who passed away in May 29, 2009.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 12:30-1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Angels Roman Catholic Church, 711 Maiden's Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD, 21228. A Memorial Mass will follow at 1:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11am in Arlington National Cemetery.
