Margaret Long

Margaret I. "Margo" Long, 65, of Arnold, died of breast cancer Aug. 5 at home after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Long was born Oct. 6, 1939, in Baltimore, where she was reared.

Her interests included gardening and weeding, boating on the Magothy River, playing cards and driving through closed car lots on Sundays.

She was the daughter of the late Birdie Young; sister of the late G. Carol Werner; and half-sister of the late Elizabeth Jones.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years, C.W. Long Sr.; one daughter, Kelly Ann Henry of Millersville; one son, Chuck Long Jr. of Arnold; two sisters, Jean Fitzsimmons of Ellicott City and Katherine Long of Maryland; step-father, T.H. Young of Arnold; one half-sister, Margaret Jenkins of Mechanicsville; one half-brother, Eddie Harding of Forestville, Md.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 15 at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave. in Millersville. Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
