Margaret Mary Irwin Kallas, 90, a resident of Arnold since 1942 and formerly of the Baltimore area, died of cancer Dec. 18 at the home of her daughter, Deborah Dunnington of Cape St. Claire, after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 4, 1916, in Brooklyn, Mrs. Kallas was a homemaker and volunteer at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Her interests included playing cards in a local card club, bowling in the Ladies Annapolis Bowling League, seafood and shuffleboard.
In 1932 she married Frank Clement Kallas, who died in 1975. In addition to one daughter, surviving are two more daughters, Patricia Miller and Joan Elliott, both of Cape St. Claire; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 12:30 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd. in Elkridge.
