Margaret Dean Hines Howie, 71, of Severna Park, died of natural causes Nov. 4 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 16, 1936, and reared in Taylorsville, N.C., Mrs. Howie was a homemaker who lived in Chartwell for 41 years. She was an active member of Severna Park Baptist Church for 41 years, an avid bridge player and enjoyed genealogical exploration and her family.
On Dec. 26, 1954, she married Otis "Jack" Howie who died in 1986.
Surviving are one daughter, Helen Virginia Rafferty of New Freedom, Pa.; one son, William O. Howie of Severna Park; one brother, William O. Howie of Taylorsville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Severna Park Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hiddenite, N.C. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
