Peg McEowen (born Margaret Anne Dinsmore), passed away on October 15, 2022 in Brightview, Severna Park MD. Peg was born October 8th, 1934, in Philadelphia PA.

Peg was a homemaker, raising her three daughters in New Jersey. However, that was only one of her many roles.

Peg received a degree in interior design from Moore College of Art in Philidelphia. While her professional career what short, she put her extensive artistic talents to use in many ways, designing posters, sets, and costumes for amateur theatre groups she also sang with, designing decorations and programs for community dances and other activities, and providing faultless advice on interior design for friends and family. She was also an excellent seamstress, and was responsible for many costumes and formal dresses for her and her daughters over the years.

Peg was a founding member of the Holmdel, NJ Historical Society, where she served in leadership positions, designed bottles of historic Holmdel places, and wrote and illustrated a history of the town.

Peg loved music, and sang in local choruses. She and her husband Jim loved going to the NJ Symphony, seeing musicals on Broadway and at the NJ Paper Mill Playhouse, and going to local dances.

She loved to travel, meeting new people, and animals. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her smile would light up people's day. She was much loved by the people who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Peg was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, James McEowen and her brothers James Dinsmore and William Dinsmore Jr. She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Merrill, Carol McEowen and Kate McEowen, five grandchildren, Kate, Molly, Skye, Arie and Helen, and four greatgrandchildren.
