Marcus Henry Sansone of Ridgely, formerly of Annapolis, passed away with family on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton. He was 74.

Born September 22, 1937 in Baltimore, MD, he was the only son of the late Marcus Anthony Sansone and Lillian Cecelia Sansone.

Mr. Sansone was raised in Baltimore and attended Southern High School and the University of Maryland. During a vacation in Daytona Beach, FL in the summer of 1964 he met his wife Mary and they married in June of 1965. Mr. Sansone started his career with Diamond Press and retired from The Evening Capital newspaper in 2005 as a color scanner operator.

Marcus and Mary raised five children in Annapolis and as a family spent outings on the Chesapeake Bay fishing, vacations in Tennesse and Florida and summers in Ocean City, MD. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating, old westerns and spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Marie Antoinette Harrison. He leaves behind his loving wife Mary; 2 sons, Marcus Sansone and wife Jennifer of Easton and Stacy Sansone and wife Sharon of Centreville; 2 daughters, Lisa Davis of Knoxville, TN and Gina Duvall and husband George of Ridgely; eleven grandchildren, Amy Harrison, Melanie Creswell, Melissa Spradlin, Mary Nichols, Meagan and Anthony Sansone, Brittany Sansone, Stephanie and Ashley Duvall, Erica Stradone and Billy Greer III; and eleven great-grandchildren, Emma and Kylie Harrison, Blaise, Isaiah, Lillie and Josiah Creswell, Jordyn, Jenna & Jeremiah Spradlin, Aiden Sansone and Julia Stradone.

Family will receive friends from 2-4pm & 6-8pm Friday at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home in Severna Park, MD. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Saturday at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home in Severna Park and interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn Park at 11:45am.
