Jeanne Lopez died at her home in Annapolis surrounded by family on February 11, 2022 after a long illness. She was 78. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John A. Lopez; daughter Beth Tuico of Washington, D.C.; son Michael Tuico, his wife Andrea and four grandchildren (Nathaniel, Delilah, Veronica and Adam) of Conroe, Texas; sister Joan Lucia-Treese and her husband Charles of Colorado Springs; and stepson Steven Lopez and his wife Cyndi of Abingdon, Maryland.
Mary Jeanne Lucia was born in Washington, D.C. on November 6, 1943. She spent most of her childhood in Queens and Long Island, New York before her family moved to Frederick, Maryland when she was a teenager. In 1961, she graduated from St. John's Literary Institute in Frederick. In 1965, she graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore. Her fondest memories include working as an operating room nurse at North Arundel Hospital and becoming a Nana.
From 1969 until her death, she lived in Anne Arundel County. An avid traveler, she went on a cruise every year from 1972 to 2018. Jeanne loved spending time with her large extended family and many lifelong friends.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her first husband Renato Tuico, parents Harry and Alice Lucia, and brother Mark. For more information about her funeral, please contact a family member.
