Jeanne Gast, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 2, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Albert O. Gast and infant son Brad.

Jeanne was born on November 28, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland to Harold and Aurelia Noble and grew up as an only child. She graduated from Southern High School in 1953. In November of 1953 she married Albert O. Gast and they shared 52 years of wonderful marriage together. After raising her family, she worked in Annapolis for the Legislative Session for 21 years. She also worked for Michael and Steven Peroutka at the Institute on the Constitution for 10 years.

Al and Jeanne were members of Chartwell Golf and Country Club for many years, where they enjoyed playing golf and many social activities. Jeanne also loved bowling and trips to the beach. She was part of the Bay Area Community Church family. Jeanne was so blessed to have cherished lifelong friendships with so many.

Jeanne's greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by and will be remembered in love by her two sons, Kevin Gast (and Kris), Mark Gast (and Judi), daughter Leslie Dotson (and Tim), along with her grandchildren, Nick Gast (and Traci), Dan Gast (and Mandy), Doug Gast (and Kelley), Justin Warnick (and Sara), Rachel Prewitt (and Trey), Chelsea MacCubbin (and Austin), Conor Dotson, Trevor Dotson, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may gather for a Memorial Service on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 at Bay Area Community Church, 884 Chesterfield Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
