Ludwig J. Schomig, 93, died on March 13 of natural causes. He resided at Heartlands in Severna Park for two years and was previously of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan where he lived for over 50 years.

Born February 5, 1921, Lud immigrated from Germany with his parents at the age of seven. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served from 1942-1946. He had a wonderful life with his loving wife, Pauline (dec.) and three great children, Jonathan (Christine), Dean (dec.), and Kristen (Douglas). Lud was also blessed with a loving bunch of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was very lucky to have had a handful of loyal friends and a covey of fun-loving, beer drinking English Springer Spaniels. He would say, "What more can anyone ask? Auf Wiedersehen."

Visitation Sunday, March 16 at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11 AM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
