Lucy Izzo (91) was a very vibrant and cheerful person who was very talented in art and cosmetology.

Lucy was born in Elizabethtown Kentucky on December 30, 1930. She passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 with her children by her side.

Lucy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, on July 26, 2006. They were a military family that decided to make Arnold Md their permanent home. Together Lucy and Bill built and ran a beauty shop named Lucías in Severna Park.

Lucy is survived by her son William M. Izzo, daughter Debra (Izzo) Galvin and stepson John O. Izzo. She had 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, one of which passed away on June 29, 2022 at the age of 20 from an aneurysm.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 12pm at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. Burial is to follow to Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Following the burial there will be a light buffet lunch from 2:30-6:30 at American Legion Post 175, 832 Manhattan Beach Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146.
