Lucille Sala Meyers, 92, a longtime resident of Severna Park, passed away on December 20, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare.

Lucille was born to her parents, Ignatious and Stephanie Sala on May 1, 1925 in Baltimore, where she was raised.  A graduate of Patterson Park High School, she later earned a BS in Chemistry at Mount St. Agnes College.  In addition, she was a student at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and later, Johns Hopkins, where she earned her Master's Degree.  Lucille worked as a Registered Nurse in Industrial Nursing for Baltimore Transit Authority, National Can Company, Bethlehem Steel, Owens Yacht and Exxon.  She served as a Board Member for the American Nurses Assoc. and was a former President of the MD Assoc. of Industrial Nurses.

Mrs. Meyers was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Meyers, III and her sister, Sallie Sala.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27 ^th from 10am -11am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Severna Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered immediately following at 11:00.  Interment will be Friday, December 29th, 1:00 pm at Baltimore National Cemetery, 5501 Frederick Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.
