Lt. Col. James Connor Flahive, USAF (Retired), 81, a resident of Baltimore, died on July 25, 2013 at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown.
Connor was born on February 1, 1932 in Tannersville, NY, where he was raised. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1953. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953, until his retirement in 1975. He worked for the Anne Arundel County Board of Education and the Baltimore County Board of Education and he enjoyed playing golf.
He is survived by his five sons, Connor Flahive (Lynn) of Arlington, TX, Brennon Flahive of Oceanside, CA, Gavin Flahive (Suzanne) of Baltimore, MD, Dan Flahive (Margaret) of Queens, NY, and Fran Flahive (Susan) of Wellesley, MA; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Sean, Kelly, Patrick, Anna, Caroline, Liam, and Jack Flahive; and five great grandchildren, Cooper and Millie Nichols, Halen Showers, Lochlan Flahive and Abigail Flahive.
A Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, July 26th at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Tee of Baltimore, 8508 Loch Raven Blvd., Suite J, Baltimore, MD 21286.
