Louis J. Saia, 90, of Annapolis, died of heart failure Aug. 28 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Saia was born Feb. 6, 1914, and reared in Baltimore. He was co-founder and operator of American Plate and Dial Co., a defense industry contractor.
Among his interests were his family, softball, bowling and attending horse races.
Surviving are his wife, Alverta Saia; two daughters, Alverta Hester of Monkton and Josephine Gardner of Annapolis; two sisters, Rose Provenzano and Evelyn Bates, both of Lockport, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Loudon Park Cemetery, 3620 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore
