Louis Franklin Adams, 58, of Severna Park, died of cancer May 15 at his home after an illness of two and one-half years.

Born July 30, 1946, in Paris, Texas, Mr. Adams moved to Severna Park in 1968. He worked for 35 years for the Department of Defense, retiring in 2003.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

His hobbies were hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Ann Schwallenberg Adams whom he married in 1970; two sons, Christopher M. Adams of Fallbrook, Calif., and Jason E. Adams of Lansdowne; one brother, Jerry W. Adams of Dallas, Texas, and one sister, Iva R. Hargroves of Paris, Texas; and one grandson. He was the son of the late Leonard and Pearl Adams.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon tomorrow at the Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where the funeral service will be held at noon. Burial is private.
