Lorna Stahl, of Severna Park, MD, has passed away. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1940, she never lost her connection to the city thanks to her Brooklyn accent that remained evident even after living in Maryland for almost 60 years. She was proud of her lifetime membership in the Order of the Eastern Star, which reflected her deep commitment to its principles of faith, hope, and charity.

Graduating from James Madison High School with an emphasis in business, she got her first job working in the secretarial pool for AT&T in Manhattan. Upon the family’s move to Maryland, she worked as an administrative assistant at Anne Arundel Community College until her retirement in 1995.

Lorna is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, her son and daughter, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Her enduring spirit, and her ability to face life’s challenges with quiet strength and unwavering resolve will continue through the generations of family she leaves behind.

Family and friends may visit on Friday September 18, 2026, from 12 pm to 2 pm with a service to follow at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.

Interment will be held at a later date in Valley View Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY.
