Loretta V. Horgan, 85, a resident of Severna Park, died peacefully on December 31, 2017. She was born on February 26, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland where she was raised and moved to Severna Park in 1968.

She graduated from Towson Catholic High School in Towson, MD. After high school she worked as a secretary/stenographer for various local Baltimore companies.

Loretta was a stay at home mom for 5 children before going to work part time at Pantry Pride grocery store as a cashier and in the front office. Later she went to work for the state of Maryland Central Payroll. Loretta also loved to sew, knit, garden and vacationing at the beach with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald W. Horgan, Sr. and her grandson, Kevin Clarke. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Ann Clarke (Chris) of Conway, South Carolina, Barbara Mason (Rich), Allison Hall (Roy) and two sons, Donald Horgan, Jr. (Michelle) and Paul Horgan (Della), all local, and 9 grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. Burial to follow at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD, 21032.
