Lois Ann Saveleski Hoke passed away on April 19, 2023.

She was born to J. Donald Murray Sr. and Mary Anna (neé Sheakley) Murray on June 12, 1945 in Cumberland, MD. She grew up in Cumberland, and attended St. Patrick's Elementary School and Catholic Girls Central High School.

She married John (Jack) L. Saveleski on May 28, 1966 and they had two children together, Karen and Scott. She raised them in Cape St. Claire and was primarily a homemaker, but she also worked at the Artist's Flat and Family Store in Cape St. Claire as a cashier and post office clerk. Lois and her husband Jack started Jack's Lawnmower Repair in Pasadena, MD in 1989 and owned and operated that business until they sold it and retired in 1998. After Jack's passing in 1998 she found love again and was re-married to Philip Hoke on December 19, 2009.

She was a member of the Auxiliary American Legion Post 175 in Severna Park, MD and a member of St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church.

Her hobbies and interests include crocheting, visiting Ocean City, crabbing, fishing, helping others, sweets, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and talking with her best friend Arline Kirk.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Hoke of Hanover, PA; her brother J. Donald Murray Jr. of Bel Air, MD; her daughter Karen Bargar (Mark) of Berlin, MD and their children, Mark Bargar (Shelby) of Berlin, MD, Joshua Bargar of Bethesda, MD, Luke Bargar (Holly) of Berlin, MD, Adam John Bargar (Makensie) of Willards, MD, and Elle Nichols (Ty) of Pittsville, MD; and her son Scott Saveleski (Kathy) of Manchester, MD and their children Nick Saveleski of Manchester, MD, Rory Saveleski of Manchester, MD and Jack Saveleski of Charleston, SC, and five great grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) L. Saveleski, her brother Richard Murray (Fay) of Cumberland MD, and her parents J. D. Murray Sr. and Mary Anna Murray.

Family and friends may visit on Monday May 1st from 9:30-11:30 am at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway Severna Park MD, 21146. A Liturgy of the Word will begin at 11:30 at Barranco Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road Crownsville MD, 21032.
