Lois Rogers Hendrickson, a resident of Catonsville, died on September 02, 2009 at Charlestown Retirement Community.

Born in Ohio and raised in Bedford OH, her past residences include Annapolis, Severna Park, and Ellicott City.

She attended Ohio Wesleyan University, University of Pittsburgh, and Boston College and received her Masters degree and had further graduate study toward a doctorate in music.

Mrs. Hendrickson was a retired music supervisor, teacher, and conductor and was employed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Howard County, MD and Anne Arundel County, MD.

She was a member of Severna Park United Methodist Church, Maryland Music Educators Association, Anne Arundel County Retired Teachers Association, National Conference of Teachers of Music, and Maryland Retired Teachers Association.

She enjoyed reading, travel, theatre, and all branches of music activities.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Dr. Harry C. Hendrickson of Catonsville, MD; two step sons, Thomas H. Hendrickson of Chestertown, MD and Richard E. Hendrickson of Severna Park, MD; one step daughter, Carolyn H. O'Neil of Gaithersburg, MD; seven step grandchildren; and five great step grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 05, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park, MD, 21146. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Severna Park United Methodist Church.
