Lloyd Shipley Keys jr., a 48-year resident of Millersville, MD, passed away on June 2, 2026. He was 79.

Lloyd was born on April 22, 1947, in Baltimore, MD. He graduated from Perry Hall High School and Northeastern University. Lloyd earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and throughout his career as a government contractor he worked for the NSA, CSC, Ford Aerospace, Loral Aerospace, and Lockheed Martin. He was also a member of the Tau Beta Pi fraternity and IEEE.

Lloyd enjoyed fishing, computers, watching British television, listening to 60’s music, and watching Japanese Sumo wrestling.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Keys of Millersville, MD; his daughter Amy Phillips (Matthew) of Arnold, MD; his grandsons Jackson Phillips and Hank Phillips of Arnold, MD; his granddaughter Emma Phillips of Arnold, MD; and his cousins Donna Barnes of Baltimore, MD and Deborah Miller of Edgewood, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wolf Hollow- North American Wolf Foundation, 114 Essex Street, Ipswich, MA 01938.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will be held privately in Poplar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Phoenix, MD
