Linda Rae Riggle Jones, 65, of Severna Park, MD, passed away on May 5, 2024.

She was born on February 23, 1959, to Thomas Riggle and Leah Hageman in Riverside, CA. She was raised in Calverton, MD and attended High Point High School in Beltsville. Her past residences included Laurel and Millersville, MD.

Linda was a manager of lobbying, reporting, and accounting at the Humane Society of the United States, where she worked for 16 years. Linda took immense pride in her work and the organization's mission of animal protection and rescue. Before the Humane Society, Linda worked in federal contracting at StorageTek, but long before that, her auspicious career began at Burger King and Toucan Taco.

On May 2, 1987, she married Len Jones. Together they have two sons, Matt and Mike. Her family brought her immeasurable joy. She adopted multiple animals over the years, and most recently had the privilege of loving Cleo, who was rescued from a puppy mill. Her hobbies included animals, nature, gardening, reading, and of utmost importance, coffee.

Linda is survived by her husband, Leonard Jones; son, Matthew Jones; daughter-in-law, Jessica Jones; granddaughter, Charlotte Jones; son, Michael Jones; sister, Renee Miller; and brother-in-law, Ed Miller.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 2:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A.  495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD, 21146. Interment will be private.
