Linda Lee Fisher, 68, of Severna Park Maryland passed peacefully at 9:30 am on Wednesday July 22, 2015. She was surrounded by her loved ones and listening to the music she loved.
Linda was born December 25, 1946 to Herbert & Nancy Miller in Baltimore Maryland. She is survived by her husband, David J. Fisher Sr., whom she married on October 29, 1966. Their inspiring love and commitment, evident through 49 years, became more devoted during the last several years of her illness.
Linda is also survived by her children and their spouses; Kimberly Knight, Michele Mark, David J. Fisher Jnr. & Brian Fisher; sisters Susan Weaver & Peggy Miller; Grandchildren, Brennan Knight, Dunavan Knight, Anslee Knight, Thomas Mark, Henry Mark, Alexander Mark, Abigail Mark, Cooper Fisher & Josephine Fisher. Linda shined when her grandchildren were around and the look in their eyes when they were with her was pure love.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Ronald Frick & John Miller.
Linda was a tireless worker who had a job at NSA until she began her family. While raising her 4 children she became a valued partner in Dave's Collision Center, Inc. with her husband in 1971 and remained so until beginning a new career at the Dept. of Legislative Services with the State of Maryland. Outside of work and family Linda was active in many endeavors including Girl Scouts, PTA, the Light House Shelter, United Methodist Church and caring for her parents in the later years of their lives.
Linda was a woman of accomplishment & strength but to those fortunate enough to experience it she was also a perfect hostess. Known for her kindness to others & always being the first to step forward when work needed to be done, Linda's family frequently found humor in her constant activity. She had a depth of generosity without acknowledgement that few realized fully yet also a fighting toughness which belied her outer appearance. This was the result of being a coal miner's daughter. Linda's beauty became even more vivid when she smiled and laughed. Her smile magnified the sparkle in her eyes and her laugh inspired those around her to share her enjoyment of life.
The world is a better place for Linda Lee Fisher having been in it and her departing leaves a lacking in our hearts which is unfillable, but the love she created and grew is boundless. Her absence will be eased through the thing she loved the most - family.
