Linda Lee Broughton, 64, a resident of Chester, MD died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on June 12, 2012 after a lengthy illness due to complications from diabetes.

Linda was born on August 6, 1947 in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Atlanta, GA and Miami, FL before moving to Annapolis with her mother in the early 1960's, where she attended Annapolis High School. During the mid 1970's, Linda earned her cosmetology license and managers license and was employed with several hair salons throughout Anne Arundel County. Linda married Woody Broughton in May of 1981 and lived on Cypress Creek until 1990, when they moved to Miami, FL. In 1995, Linda and her husband returned to Maryland and settled in Chester. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Linda is survived by her husband, Woody Broughton of Chester; her father, Ralph D. Thomas of Salisbury,NC; and her two brothers, Ralph Danny Thomas of Jacksonville, FL and Dean W. Nitsch of Chestertown. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Lee Nitsch in 2007.
