Lillian Behnken Sheridan passed away on April 16, 2025 in Severna Park, MD. She was born on December 31, 1930 to Rudolf and Lillian (Fuzia)Behnken in Long Island City, NY. She graduated from Sewanhaka High School (Floral Park, NY) as salutatorian and Adelphi University (Garden City, NY) with a degree in English and Education. She worked for General Electric (NY) after graduation.

Lillian married Bill Sheridan in 1958 and they had 3 children. They moved to Enfield, Connecticut in 1972 and she received an Associate's degree in accounting while working for Marlin Howard as an accountant.

After Bill's passing in 2004, she was active in the Legion of Mary, Holy Family Parish Council, local chapter of AARP and the Red Hat Society. She moved to BrightView Senior Living in Severna Park, MD in 2022 and became a member of St. John the Evangelist in Severna Park.

Lillian is survived by her children; daughter, Lillian, and her husband, Peter McGraw, of Severna Park, Md, son Bill Sheridan and his wife, Nan, of Southington, CT.  Lillian was predeceased by her son John Sheridan in 2024.  Lillian is also survived by her four grandchildren, Michael McGraw and his wife, Molly of Baltimore, Kristina McGraw and her husband, Keith Acton of Crownsville, MD, Margaret Sheridan of Manchester, CT, Billy Sheridan of Moodus, CT  and her beloved great-grand-daughter, Emma McGraw and great-grand son John Peter McGraw (parents Mike & Molly).  Lillian was predeceased by her brother, Rudy Behnken and is survived by his wife, Joan, and their son Stephen and his wife Gloria (Floral Park, NY).

Church service and graveside ceremonies will be held privately by the family.
