Lillian Maddens
Lillian Sue Maddens, 76, of Millersville, died of complications from Alzheimer's disease April 21 at North Arundel Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born Aug. 26, 1928, in Bedford, Va., Mrs. Maddens was reared in Lynchburg, Va.
A homemaker, she also worked for the Holiday Inn as banquet manager for 26 years.
She belonged to the Glen Burnie Moose and American Legion Post 40 in Glen Burnie, and liked reading and sewing.
Surviving are her husband, Fred C. Maddens, whom she married in 1975; four daughters, Janet Stinnett of Columbia, Phyllis Clark of Palm Springs, Calif., Cynthia Pease of Fairfax, Va., and Nancy Maddens of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sons, David Maddens of Leesburg, Va., and Robert Maddens of Niceville, Fla.; four sisters, Becky Turner and Ruth Green, both of Lynchburg, Hazel Dorothy Obenchain of Manassas, Va., and Rosie Kolopsis of King George, Va.; two brothers, Edward Newman of Bedford, Va., and Aubrey Newman of Lynchburg; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was the sister of the late Howard Newman.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial is private.
