Lillian Frantom (nee Martin), 87, a resident of Chester, MD, died on September 25, 2011 at Tate Chesapeake Hospice House in Linthicum.
She was born on August 16, 1924 to her parents Virginia and Leo Martin in Baltimore, where she was raised, graduating from Seton High School, before residing in Arnold in 1952.
Lillian was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park; American Legion Post 175 Women's Auxiliary; Annapolis Democratic Club; and Annapolis Moose Lodge.
She enjoyed needlepoint and playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Frantom, Sr., whom she married in 1952.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Hooper of Maryland; two sons, Bernard Frantom, Jr. of Arnold and Patrick Frantom (Diane) of Arnold; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
