Lillian Julia Eiring (Lil, Aunt Lil, Nana), of Severna Park, Maryland passed away on her 102nd birthday, July 16, 2026, surrounded by family in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who will be deeply missed by those who love her.

Born on July 16, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland, Lillian was raised by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Sulinski. She was the oldest of her three siblings, Tommy, Connie, and Dorothy.

During WWII she worked for the United States Navy. After the war she worked for the Internal Revenue Service. There she met Henry W. Eiring (Hank) and married on October 2, 1954.

As a devoted wife and mother she lovingly raised four children, Mary Beth, Patrick, Karen, and Tommy at Fairwinds on the Severn in Severna Park.

After 14 years as a homemaker, Lillian became widowed in 1968. Following Hank’s death, she entered night school to complete her GED while raising her four rambunctious children. During this chapter of her life, Lillian’s resilience, determination, and unwavering optimism became an enduring example to her family. She went to work for Skipper Fuel Oil, now Eastern Petroleum, for 20 years before retiring.

Upon retirement, she joyfully embraced the title of Nana. Over the years, her family grew to include 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Through her love and welcoming spirit, she was an honorary Nana to countless others who were fortunate enough to know her.

Family was the center of Nana’s life. She treasured time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially cooking favorite meals, enjoying annual crab feasts, winning at board games, sewing, and reading. Nana was known for her faith, kindness, sense of humor, delicious recipes, and holiday traditions. Her dedication to family and tradition has created memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and love her.

Nana will be remembered for her generous spirit and her dedication to the hungry in the community, making casseroles for Our Daily Bread Outreach, and driving weekly for Meals-On-Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Hank" Eiring; her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Sulinski; her siblings, Tommy Sulinski (Duval), Connie Solloway (Charlie), and Dorothy Clements (Bill); and her extended family members, John Callison (Mary Beth), Dennis Roberts (Kathy), and Michael Clements.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Mary Beth Callison, Patrick Eiring, Karen Provost (Thomas), and Tommy Eiring; her grandchildren, Peter (Megan), Clare (Benjamin), Erin (Nate), Whitney (Rodney), Lauren (Steve), Bernadette, Joseph (Carter), Paul (Isabel), Francis, Mary Teresa, and Anna; her great-grandchildren, Rosie, Pippa, Jude, Reese, Emmett, Cooper, Tripp, Olive, Jolene, Duke, and Apollo; and her extended family, Kathy Smith (Steve), Deborah Tyson-Eiring, Debbie Solloway, Cindy Gilbert, Amy Gilbert, Paul Solloway (Shirley), Jacob Solloway, Mark Clements (Tammy), and Nancy Lake.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm & 6 pm to 8 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11 am in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 408 S. Chester Street, Baltimore, MD 21231.

Interment will follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road, Dundalk, MD 21222.

In lieu of flowers and donations, the family encourages you to honor and celebrate Nana’s memory in two ways. First, cook a meal with your loved ones and enjoy it together. Nana’s favorite meal was crab cakes, Silver Queen corn, and Maryland tomatoes. Second, as a family, find time to serve those in your community that are struggling with food insecurity. May her legacy live on through all of us!
