Lillian Marie Brown, 82, of Severna Park died March 24, 2007.
She was born to Clarence Hadley and Lillian Marie Cutter and raised in Floral Park, New York. She graduated from Sewanaka High School and attended the Fashion Institute of New York.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Harry Chandler Brown. Survivors include her children, James Chandler, Richard Owen, Robert Douglas, William Hadley, and Thomas Lane Brown; six grandchildren, and a great granddaughter.
She moved to Severna Park in 1992 to be closer to her family and became an active volunteer in numerous community organizations including: PEO Sisterhood of Severna Park, XYZ, Discovery Shop and Partners-in-Care. She was a member of the Severna Park United Methodist Church where she was treasurer for many years.
Lillian's hobbies included traveling, reading, gardening, and bird watching. Her love of art history prompted her to travel extensively to museums throughout the United States as well as to Europe, South America and the near East. She supported local theater and music and especially enjoyed performances by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Center Stage Players in Baltimore and Colonial Players in Annapolis.

Friends may visit at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home on Monday, March 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27 at the Severna Park United Methodist Church. Reception to follow immediately at the church. Private graveside service at Nassau Knolls Memorial Park in Port Washington, New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Mandrin Hospice House Deck Fund, 3675 Solomons Island Rd., Harwood, MD 20776 or to Partners in Care, Inc. 348 Ritchie Hwy., Severna Park, MD 21146.
