Lexie McCourt Snyder, 78, of Severna Park died of natural causes at her home on January 2, 2009.

She was born Lexie Jean Tolman on December 12, 1930 to her late parents, Carl and Irene Tolman in St. Louis Missouri, where she was also raised. She also lived in Pittsburgh, PA for two years and Linthicum, MD for seven years before settling in Severna Park fifty years ago.

She attended Washington University in St. Louis for two years and became a homemaker after marrying her late husband Andrew McCourt. She later married Russell Snyder in 1991.

Mrs. Snyder was a member of the County Concert Association and the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and dancing.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Snyder; her sons, John McCourt of Columbia, MD and David McCourt of St. Louis, MO; her daughters, Carolyn McCourt Falor of Virginia Beach, VA and Patty McCourt of Vernal, UT; her sister, Joan Mayer of St. Louis, MO; and four grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to visit at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Friday January 9, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park on Saturday January 10, 2009 with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
