Leslie Fay Welms, 45, of Arnold, died of heart failure May 3 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness.
Ms. Welms was born March 17, 1959, in Baltimore and raised in Glen Burnie. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School and worked for CareFirst Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a computer programming consultant.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Welms; her mother, Amelia Welms; one sister, Barbara Weller, all of Arnold; and two brothers, James Welms of Towson and Philip Welms of Arnold. She was the daughter of the late Louis Welms.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 75 Maiden Lane, Suite 603, New York, NY 10038-4810.
