Leslie "Les" Paul Dittmar, 94, a longtime resident of Millersville, passed away on January 22, 2022.

He was born to Robert and Josephine Dittmar on April 21, 1927 in Baltimore, MD. Les was raised in Anne Arundel County, where he resided for most of his life.

Les attended Glen Burnie High School, joined the Navy and later became an entrepreneur. He ran his own business as an electrician.

Les married Mildred Ann (nee Buenger) on November 6, 1948. Together they raised their family in Anne Arundel County. Les was an avid fisherman and loved baseball, cards and spending time with his family. He took pride in taking care of his family, friends and neighbors.

Les was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Ann Dittmar, who passed away in 2018.

He is survived by his daughter Paula Gertz; his son, David Dittmar; four grandchildren, Matthew Stephens, Andrew Gertz, Jonathan Dittmar, Melissa Dittmar; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Gertz and Lila Gertz.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 1pm at St. John the Evangelist, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. The burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
