LeRoy C. Orndorff, "Roy", 67, a longtime resident of Cape St. Claire, passed away at Anne Arundel Medical Center on July 7, 2010.

He was born to his parents, George and Louisa Orndorff on Jan. 24, 1943 in Baltimore, MD. Raised in Baltimore and Bay Head in Annapolis, Roy later lived in Edgewater and Annapolis prior to moving to Cape St. Claire in 1967.

Roy graduated from Annapolis High School in 1961 and then graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute. He was employed as a Service Manager for automotive dealerships in the Annapolis and Washington areas.

Mr. Orndorff was a longtime member of Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church. He enjoyed crabbing, fishing, gardening, cooking, and traveling.

Mr. Orndorff is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan K. (Seim) Orndorff; his son, Jeffrey A. Orndorff (Keri) of Ashburn, VA; his daughter, Susanne M. Rose (Tom) of Charlotte, NC; his sister, Mary Lou Hammond (Bill) of Cape Coral, FL; as well as his seven grandchildren, Justin, Gabby, Zack, Hannah, Justin, Allison, and Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George E. Orndorff, Jr.

A visitation will be held at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Friday, July 9, 2010 from 6:00-9:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 10th at Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church 855 Chestnut Tree Drive Annapolis, MD 21409 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society.
