Leroy Albert Wade, Jr., 72, a resident of Annapolis for over 55 years, died March 12, 2009 at FutureCare Chesapeake in Arnold, due to cancer.
He was born on March 26, 1936 in Baltimore, MD and raised in Cape St. Claire, Annapolis. He attended Annapolis High School and University of Maryland.
Mr. Wade was a member of Union 122 Sheet Metal Workers. He managed Busch's Chesapeake Inn for 16 years, worked in the family business Store Systems and co-owned Bebo's Restaurant. He retired in 1999 at the age of 63.
He was preceded in death by his late parents, Virginia and Leroy Wade, Sr. and his late son, Leroy A. Wade III.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy Wade (nee Williams) of Annapolis, MD; his four children, Wayne F. Wade of Annapolis, MD, Terry L. Tayloe of South Riding, VA, Lori L. Alton of Edgewater, MD, and Robert L. Wade of Easton, MD; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Katherine Reece and Roberta Kettering.
A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.
