Leonard Brown
Leonard "Lenny" E. Brown, 80, of Annapolis, died Aug. 20 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mr. Brown was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Baltimore to the late Timothy and Nellie Brown.
He served in the Navy as Seaman first class from 1945 to 1947. He then worked for Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge 622 of Annapolis and volunteered at the Chapel of Adorations - St. Mary's.
He enjoyed life, particularly sailing, fishing, crabbing and walking.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer, Edward, Robert and James Brown; and one sister, Regina Link.
Survivors include three sons, Steven Brown of Centreville, Timothy Brown of Idaho and Jeremy Brown of Texas; one daughter, Leslie Thrasher of Arnold; one sister, Angela Ay of Arnold; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Neumann Church, 620 Bestgate Road. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 415 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
