Leo A. O'Dea Jr., 73, of Baltimore, died of heart failure Feb. 21 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mr. O'Dea was born March 8, 1931, and reared in Baltimore and served in the Air Force in 1948.
He owned his own sheet metal company, Chesapeake-Dolphin Corp., and worked as a sheet metal mechanic for 40 years in the Baltimore-Washington area. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 100 in Baltimore.
In 1983 he was elected chairman of the board of directors for the Carrollton Bank of Baltimore.
His interests included golf.
Surviving are his wife, Muriel Piquett O'Dea of Berlin, whom he married on Sept. 23, 1950; three daughters, Sharon Miller of Maryland and Kathleen O'Dea and Colleen Cox of Arnold; one son, Leo A. O'Dea III of Millersville; one sister, Madeline Murphy of Berlin; two brothers, Thomas O'Dea of Elkridge and Patrick O'Dea of Pasadena; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 395 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be private.
