Leo H. Kueberth Sr., 80, a 36-year resident of Arnold, died of liver failure June 18 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Kueberth was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Baltimore, where he was reared.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from the Coast Guard, where he worked for 27 years as a cabinet maker and ship joiner.
A member of American Legion Post 175, Knights of Columbus in Severna Park and Elks Lodge 2608, he enjoyed carving, woodworking and volunteer work.
Surviving are his wife, Rita E. Kueberth, whom he married June 8, 1946; four sons, Leo H. and Albert G. Kueberth, both of Arnold, Philip J. Kueberth of Baltimore and Michael Kueberth of Cumberland; one daughter, Rita M. Wolfe of Arnold; one brother, Philip Kueberth of Parkville, Md.; one sister, Maria Kueberth of Parkville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrews by the Bay, 701 College Parkway, Arnold. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
