Larry "Gah" Spice, of Millersville, passed away on July 27, 2020 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center with his daughter by his side.

Larry was born to Petranella (Sarpolus) and Ralph Spice on December 13, 1939 in Wadsworth, Ohio, where he was also raised. Larry graduated from Wadsworth High School and then went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Kent State University. Throughout his life he lived in Wadsworth, Ohio, Australia and most recently, in Millersville, Maryland.

Larry worked for the NSA for 34 years. He loved photography, puzzles, traveling (especially to Lancaster, PA and to Williamsburg, VA), history, reading, gardening and classic country music shows. Larry was the oldest of four children and loved frequent reunions with family, Airforce colleagues and friends. Larry would also attend car shows and especially loved listening to "Willie's Roadhouse". Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and cherished grandfather. He was proud to spend time with his family and his special Westie, "Bella".

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Petranella (Sarpolus) and Ralph Spice.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Spice, of Millersville; son, Barry Spice, of Maryland; son, Cary Spice, of PA; son, Derik Spice; daughter, Lori Ross (Ed), of Maryland; three siblings, Ralph Spice, Joanne Wardell, and Susan Rambacher; five grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00 am at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. Following the gathering, at 12:00 pm, there will be a memorial service open to family and friends, but please be aware, due to local laws because of the COVID19 pandemic, the attendance will be limited. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to either the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association at the following links:
