Larissa Rose Maltese passed away unexpectedly at the age of 29 on the morning of January 14, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. Larissa is survived by her parents Jeff and Terry of Severna Park, MD, her older brother Brendan and his wife Kaitlyn, her younger sister Lauren and Matt Simpson, and her nephew Dominick. She also had many extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Larissa was born in Long Branch, NJ and moved with her family to Severna Park, MD in 2000. Over the years, she attended several special schools including Ruth Eason, Kennedy-Kreiger, and Benedictine (Ridgely, MD). Recently, she resided in an ARC of Central Chesapeake home in Severna Park and attended a day program at Opportunity Builders Inc. in Millersville.

Larissa had a powerful presence and brightened the days of everyone she met. Whether you wanted a hug or not, there was always one in store for you. She spent lots of quality with her family and was an avid collector of cartoon art, plushies, and Pokemon. She also collected "souvenirs" and supplies for future arts and crafts from anywhere and everywhere she went, such as cups, straws, paper towel rolls, and soda can tabs.

A memorial gathering well be held on Saturday February 1, 2020 from 1:00pm-3:00pm with a memorial service beginning at 3:00pm at the Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.
