Krsto Perunovich, 85, a resident of Severna Park for 20 years, died of heart failure May 4 at Harbor Hospital Center in Baltimore after a brief illness.
Born Jan. 15, 1920, in Montenegro, Yugoslavia, Mr. Perunovich also had lived in Baden-Baden, Germany and Montreal.
He graduated from the Yugoslavian Military Academy. Subsequently he served as an officer in military intelligence in the Yugoslavian army and was an allied prisoner of war for four years during World War II.
Among his interests were playing golf and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Gretel Weiss Perunovich; one son, Danilo Perunovich of Millersville; one daughter, Karin May of Holmdel, N.J.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial is private.
