Kathryn E. Warren "Kitty" Bechtel, 63, a six-year resident of Queenstown, died of sudden heart failure Dec. 29 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Born Sept. 21, 1943, in Baltimore and reared in Glyndon, Md., Mrs. Bechtel was also a past resident of Pasadena from 1964 to 2001.

She worked for the State of Maryland Department of Natural Resources as a payroll administrator for over 20 years.

Her interests included sewing, needlepoint and baking.

Surviving are two sons, David Bechtel Jr. of Chester and Duayne Bechtel of Ocean Pines, Md.; two daughters, Kristinea Bechtel of Pasadena and Lisa Ahmay of Annapolis; three brothers, Kenny Warren and Patrick Rosedale, both of Westminster, Md., and Leo Rosendale of Owings Mills; two sisters, Pam Deshong and Bonnie Pagona, both of Westminster, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Burial is private.
