Kingsley Gorman,
Jr.
July 29, 1932 – August 16, 2024
Kingsley Gorman Jr., 92 years old of Abingdon MD, went to be with the Lord on Friday August Sixteenth.
He was a loving husband and father to his wife Mildred, and his three children, Valerie, Stephanie, and Nathan. Kingsley was predeceased by his wife Mildred and his two daughters, Valerie and Stephanie.
After completing his education in Knoxville Tennessee where he was born and raised, Kingsley went on to fulfill his desire of joining the Air Force, and marrying his sweetheart Millie. Together they went on to serve at stations in Texas, Alaska, California, the Philippines where Nathan was born, and ultimately back stateside to Maryland. Kingsley would often speak about his love of country, and how proud he was to serve in the U.S. Air Force. After a brief stint at NSA, Kingsley was Honorably Discharged from the Air Force at Fort Meade, MD and went on to a successful career in private industry.
A loving and faithful servant of Jesus Christ, Kingsley became a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Millersville, where he also served briefly as a Deacon . Along with enjoying activities and fellowship with his church family, Kingsley was a voracious reader, loved SEC football and was an avid fan of all Tennessee Volunteer sports teams. Kingsley is survived by his son Nathan, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren .
Family and friends may visit on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10 am to 12 pm in Anchor Baptist Church, 320 W Pasadena Rd, Millersville, MD 21108, where a funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Interment will follow in the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.
