Kimberly Michelle Poremski, 41, of Severna Park, died Oct. 8 in Glen Burnie after a lengthy illness.
Born in Lahore, Pakistan, on Aug. 23, 1965, Mrs. Poremski was reared in Maryland and Massachusetts. She also lived in Salisbury, Edgewater, Annapolis, Baltimore and Severna Park as well as Randolph, Mass. She graduated from South River High School, completed her undergraduate studies at Towson University and received a master's degree from Loyola College. She was working towards her doctorate at Johns Hopkins University.
Most recently she worked at the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund. She was an avid reader.
Mrs. Poremski enjoyed spending time with her sons, Nicholas and Dylan Poremski of Baltimore; her fiance, Wylie "Mitch" Mitchell Jr. of Severna Park, her family and friends.
Also survivng are her mother, Ada E. Carr of Severna Park; her stepfather, Jim Carr of Oceanview, Del; her father, Ken W. Ludlam of Norton, Mass.; her stepmother, Sandra Ludlam of Fairfax, Va.; and her sister, Susan L. Caldwell of Fairfax.
Services will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where friends may greet the family after the service. Burial will be private.
