Captain Kevin William Trehey, U.S. Army, 57, died on November 27th, 2012 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

Kevin was born and raised in Seneca, Wisconsin. He received his Bachelors Degree of Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, class of 1977. Kevin also received his Masters Degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Captain Trehey served more than 20 years in the United States Army beginning in 1977 and spent most of his time stationed overseas in Germany. Captain Trehey received the following awards: Meritorious Service Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, and the Army Recruiter Badge.

After his retirement, Kevin held various engineering positions in the private sector. He was a member of the West Point Association of Graduates, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the West Point Society of Annapolis, and Saint Andrew by the Bay Roman Catholic Church in Annapolis, MD.

Kevin was a model train enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Elizabeth "Beth" Trehey; only son, Michael Trehey, of Arnold; father Harold Trehey and sister Lisa Seitz both of Monona, Iowa; and brother Greg Trehey of Arnold.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, November 29th from 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 30th at 11 am at St. Andrew by the Bay. Services will also be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 1:30 pm in the Holy Trinity Chapel in West Point, NY with interment in the West Point cemetery to follow.
